Taylor Swift ocupa a segunda posição entre os artistas com mais indicações, com nove. Ariana Grande e Sabrina Carpenter receberam sete nomeações cada, enquanto Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress e Zara Larsson aparecem com cinco. Lisa soma quatro indicações, e Shakira e Tate McRae receberam três cada.
Entre os trabalhos que colocaram Madonna na liderança está “Confessions 2 – The Film”, indicado a Vídeo do Ano, Melhor Dance e diferentes categorias técnicas. A artista também concorre com “Bring Your Love”, parceria com Sabrina Carpenter, nas disputas de Música do Ano e Melhor Colaboração.
Anitta representa o Brasil entre os indicados. A cantora disputa Melhor Latino com “Choka Choka”, parceria com Shakira. As duas enfrentam nomes como Bad Bunny, Karol G, Rosalía e a própria Shakira em colaboração com Burna Boy.
A cerimônia do MTV Video Music Awards 2026 acontece em 27 de setembro, em Los Angeles, com transmissão pela CBS, MTV e Paramount+, a partir das 20h30, pelo horário de Brasília.
